Proverbs 16:9 – “In their hearts, humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.”
Planning is a vital aspect of wise stewardship and responsible living. As Christians, we are called to seek God’s guidance and involve Him in our planning process. By doing so, we acknowledge that God is the ultimate authority over our lives and that His wisdom far surpasses our own.
In the Scriptures, we find numerous examples of individuals who sought God’s guidance in their planning. Noah obediently followed God’s instructions to build the ark, and Joseph wisely stored grain during the years of plenty, in preparation for the years of famine. These examples teach us the importance of aligning our plans with God’s will and seeking His direction every step of the way.
When we involve God in our planning, we can have confidence that He will establish our steps and direct our paths. This doesn’t mean that everything will go exactly as we expect, but it means that God is faithful to guide and provide for us as we trust in Him.
As we embark on our journey of planning, let us seek God’s wisdom through prayer, meditating on His Word, and seeking counsel from wise believers. By aligning our plans with His purpose, we can experience the transformative power of His guidance in our lives.
